A useful clearance quote starts with what needs removing and how the team can reach it. Two piles that look the same size can involve different work and disposal arrangements.
Volume and weight
Furniture can fill a vehicle quickly while rubble, soil and other dense materials can reach a payload limit with room still available. Give the material type as well as the approximate quantity. Our price guide gives a starting point; the agreed quote sets out the actual job.
The type of waste
Household rubbish, plasterboard, timber, appliances and hazardous materials do not all have the same handling requirements. Identify each material in your enquiry. Do not hide items inside bags or mix unknown materials into a general load.
Access and dismantling
A ground-floor collection close to the vehicle differs from carrying large furniture downstairs or clearing a rear outbuilding. Send photos of the route out. Explain any narrow doors, steps, lift bookings, parking restrictions or dismantling required.
Timing and scope
A full house clearance, strip out or demolition job requires more detail than a single-item collection. State the deadline and ask what is included. The collection time, total payable and any specialist work should be agreed before booking.
